Well, the maverick director has proved it once again as he has made a movie on the novel coronavirus or COVID-19. Yes, you heard it right, a movie on the coronavirus when the country is still under lockdown.

The film which is being called the ‘world’s first film based on coronavirus’, was shot completely during the lockdown.

Ram Gopal Varma, in  a tweet, said that he ‘wanted to prove no one can stop our work whether it is god or corona.’

Though he also mentioned that all the precautionary measures like social distancing and sanitizing were duly followed during the shooting of the film.

Though no release date has been announced for the film, the trailer of the film got an exciting response as it crossed over 1 lakh views in just an hour of its release.

Shot in the Telugu language, ‘Coronavirus’ is a Ram Gopal Varma film of Agasthya Manju direction, music composed by DSR and produced by CM creations.

The Telugu film showcases the life of a family during COVID-19 lockdown and how their lives are turned upside down when one of the family members is infected by the deadly coronavirus. How the family deals with it and how the family dynamics are changed during the process form the crux of the story.

With thriller music in the background, it seems like the movie will show the ‘horrors’ the virus has been causing.

Whether it’s good or bad, the trailer has surely piqued the interest for the film and the audience would be eagerly waiting for its release.
