Quarterback Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers & Everything You Should Know About It

Quarterback Season 2 Release Date: Every year, Netflix adds more and more content because the streaming service wants to get more subscribers and keep the 200 million it already has interested.

Netflix has recently put more focus on sports entertainment, which has led to the creation of great sports documentaries like Quarterback. The first season blew away the competition in the ratings department.

Now that the much-anticipated second season is almost here, let’s talk about what viewers can expect.

Reasons Why Quarterback Is Unique

Netflix’s first show, which was made in partnership with the NFL, gave fans an inside look at the lives of three famous quarterbacks.

People could closely follow the 2022 NFL seasons of Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings, and Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons for the eight-episode season.

Fans are very excited about the show’s upcoming second season and can’t wait to see the amazing players’ stories again. The show has already become one of the most popular sports documentaries thanks to its huge success on Netflix.

Fans are looking forward to the release date and are talking a lot about what they think will happen in the next season, including which athletes will be featured and what exciting things will happen.

When Will the Second Season of Quarterback Come Out?

Former NFL quarterback and executive producer of Quarterback Peyton Manning said on The Pat McAfee Show that work has already begun on the second season of the show.

Even though Netflix hasn’t said anything official about the renewal yet, Manning confirmed that the streaming service has given the show the go-ahead.

The second season of Quarterback won’t be available on Netflix until 2024. It’s set to come out in the summer of that year.

As with the first season, which closely followed the three main quarterbacks throughout the entire NFL season from September to early February, the second season is likely to keep the same production schedule and continue to document the experiences of the chosen quarterbacks throughout the 2023 NFL season.

The show is filmed during the whole NFL season, which will end in February 2024. Fans will have to wait a year for the second season since movies are usually made during that time.

If we had to guess, we’d say that Quarterback Season 2 will probably come out in July 2024, which is again during the NFL offseason. There is a chance that Netflix will try to get the season out earlier, but it is doubtful that it will be available before May 2024 at the earliest.

Will Mahomes Perform Again?

NFL betting sites think Patrick Mahomes will win the Most Valuable Player award. Unfortunately, he will not be back for the second season of the show “Quarterback” on Netflix, which is bad news for the streaming service.

An interview with Audacy’s 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City with Mahomes revealed that he would not be on the next season of the show.

The Chiefs are getting more attention from the media lately because Taylor Swift is dating star tight end Travis Kelce. Because of this, Netflix is probably upset that Mahomes won’t be able to be in season 2 again.

For some Chiefs fans, the crazy attention paid to Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift this season has been the worst thing about the team.

About Cousins and Mariota

Netflix hasn’t said for sure yet if Kirk Cousins will be in the second season of Quarterback. But it doesn’t look like Cousins will be back for season 2. People liked the first season of the show because it gave them a new way to look at the game and its star position.

Because of this, season 2 will probably have a whole new group of quarterbacks. Even so, Cousins might show up in some way as a cameo. If he does, it will be interesting to see how Cousins recovers from hurting his Achilles.

Because Marcus Mariota is only supposed to be a backup quarterback this coming season, it is very unlikely that he will play a key role.

But he might not play as much because he helps Jalen Hurts, who is one of the game’s big stars and the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback and MVP candidate.

Many people think that if Hurts is cast in season 2, we will get to see more of Mariota. This could lead to an interesting story about how a starting quarterback and their backup interact with each other.

Which Quarterbacks Will be in Season 2?

Even though the first season was a success, Peyton Manning, the famous quarterback who has won two Super Bowls and created Quarterback, is having trouble getting current quarterbacks to join the show.

Despite Manning’s best efforts to get players to work with his production company, they have all turned him down.

An interesting fact is that Manning had tried to start the show before but failed because other quarterbacks in the league weren’t interested. Without a doubt, the success of the first season of the show will make a lot of people want to be contestants.

Some interesting rumors are going around about a famous star quarterback who is said to have agreed to be on the show.
