O Yeong-su, an Actor From the Television Series “the Game of Squid,” Has Been Accused of Sexual Harassment.

It has been claimed that the actor Oh Yeong-su, who stars in Squid Game, has been charged with sexual harassment in Korea.

The actor, who is most known for his role as Oh Il-nam in the Netflix series, was charged on Thursday (November 24) without being detained on allegations that he unlawfully touched a woman’s body in 2017. The allegations date back to 2017.

According to a story that was aired on a television station in South Korea called JTBC (which was obtained by Deadline), the victim initially lodged a complaint in December of the previous year. In April of this year, the investigation was concluded by the police without any charges being brought, but the prosecutor’s office continued their probe after filing an appeal on the matter.

Yeong-soo has responded to the claims by issuing a statement that was carried by JTBC. “I was only holding her hand to show her the route around the lake,” he stated as they continued their walk around the water. “I apologised because [the man] said he wouldn’t make a fuss about it, but it doesn’t mean I admit the charges,” the defendant stated, adding that “I apologised because [the man] said he wouldn’t make a fuss about it.”

An official from the Suwon court was quoted by the AFP news agency as saying, “everything reported by local media is truly not accurate.” [Citation needed]

Yeon-soo was nominated for an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his part in “The Squid Game,” which earned him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor.

Before he starred in Squid Game, he was recognised primarily for the roles he played in several stage productions. After that, he started making appearances in a variety of Korean films and television shows, such as God of War and The Little Monk, both of which came out in 2003.

Netflix has begun production on the second season of Squid Game, which is scheduled to premiere in 2024 according to current projections.
