Lately, Netflix has been releasing a lot of content targeting its Indian users and keeping them upbeat during this crisis period. And one such series that made its mark was the Bard of Blood, which is a fictional spy thriller based on a Bilal Siddiqi-written novel of the same title.

The web series had made its way on Netflix on Sept 27, 2019, and majorly received a positive response to the audience and critic alike. Now the audience is eagerly waiting for the announcement of season 2.

Bard of Blood is written by Mayank Tewari and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The show is produced by under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment owned by Shah Rukh Khan. Season 1 had a sum of seven episodes.

Bard of Blood Plot

Bard of Blood is the story revolving around an ex-member of the RAW, Kabir Anand (played by Emraan Hashmi). Kabir, with on-field identity as Adonis, is pressed to leave the department due to the failure of an operation. However, after teaching Shakespeare at high school, Kabir is again called in to rescue four Indian agents who are held captive by the Taliban in Balochistan before they could convey significant data to the government.

Unfortunately, so far there has been no news about Netflix renewing the Bard of Blood for a second season. Though there has not been any announcement, there is a high likelihood that the show will make a comeback taking the ending into consideration.
