G2 Esports has revealed its League of Legends lineup for the LEC 2023 season, which includes the return of some familiar characters as well as the addition of a few new players.

The composition of G2 Esports LoL LEC 2023

G2 Esports have been in some trouble as of late, and even their supremacy in the LEC is in jeopardy ever since Rogue won the champion in the most recent split. We get the continuation of “The Topfather” through yet another innovative video advertisement, and it includes many references to the players who have passed away, the community, and the duck.

Main road

Sergen “BrokenBlade” Celik will continue to serve as the top-liner for G2 Esports through the year 2023. Since making his debut in a significant region, the Turkish top-father has solidified his position as one of the most accomplished top-liners. After being imported by TSM, he became the first player from Turkey to compete in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). This marked the beginning of his career in the North American region. Before coming back to Europe with Schalke 04, he lived in the United States of America for a period of two years. After an incredible year and a half with their previous team, BB made the switch to G2 Esports and spent the entirety of the 2022 season with them.

Jungles

And now for the most incredible adjustment, which blew the minds of fans when it was first rumoured to take place. In the year 2023, G2 forester Martin “Yike” Sandelin will make his debut in a significant region for the first time. He was originally a member of the French team LDLC OL, which competes in the LFL. After taking first place in both the spring and summer splits of the league this season, LDLC OL is now the team to beat in the LFL. “After completely dominating the LFL, we are totally convinced that Yike will perform at the top level, and we look forward to watching him beat everyone in the LEC in the jungle,” G2 stated. “It will be exciting to see him beat everyone in the LEC in the jungle.” Fans are surprised not necessarily by this acquisition, but rather by the player he is replacing.

Since Marcin “Yankos” Jankowski has been a G2 forester for the past five years, his name has become nearly interchangeable with that of the organisation. Yankos’ exit from G2 was finally agreed upon by both parties after several weeks of conflict during which he was held in a so-called “contract prison.” As of earlier this month, it was also established that Jankos will be participating in the upcoming season for Team Heretics.

Mid Lane

Old G2 fans, on the other hand, won’t notice any changes to the way Rasmus “caps” Winter. He joined the team in 2019, one year after Yankos did, and after Jungler caPs left, he became the senior member of the squad. Because he is also one of the most well-known names in the history of League of Legends, he does not require any sort of introduction. He is regarded as the most skilled middleman in the Western hemisphere and one of the most skilled in the world, and he has shown that he deserves these accolades over his lengthy career.

Bot Lane

Hans “Hans sama” Liv, formerly of Team Liquid and the League of Legends Championship Series, is moving back to the League of Legends European Championship. It was widely believed that the TL team, of which he was a member, was a great team; nevertheless, he was unable to perform to the level of excellence that was expected of him because his team did not make it to the 2022 World Cup. Hans-sama was given permission to explore his choices when Team Liquid announced their plan to rebuild for the upcoming season. As a result, Hans-sama has returned to Europe to play with G2 Esports. The fans were ecstatic to see the French ADC back, especially after they saw who his support team would be.
