Laxman Jagtap Illness Before Death: Laxman Political Career!
Mr. Jagtap, whose name is synonymous with Pimpri development in Chinchwad, is the second BJP sitting MLA to die after Mukta Tilak in late December 2022.
Kasba Peth, a lawmaker and the former mayor of Mukta Tilak, died on December 23 of last year. Jagtap is the second important BJP leader and sitting MLA from Pune to die in less than two weeks.
Jagtap has been very important to the growth of the Pimpri-Chinchwad township. This is because Jagtap has a large group of supporters.
Laxman Jagtap first got involved in politics in 1986. He was a corporator until 2002. During this time, he was in charge of the Standing Committee as its chair.
Laxman Jagtap Illness Before Death
Laxman Jagtap, a lawmaker from Chinchwad for the Bharat Janata Party, died on Tuesday after being sick for a long time.
Jagtap also got care abroad, which helped his condition get better, but he’s been having new problems for the past five or six months. ABP Majha says that even though he was getting treatment, he kept getting worse.
The important Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Parishad (State Legislative Council) byelections happened right before Eknath Shinde’s uprising and the overthrow of the MVA government, which led to the formation of the new Shinde-Fadnavis government. Jagtap wore a PPE kit and went to Mumbai to vote for BJP candidates even though he was sick.
How Did Laxman Jagtap Die?
The three-term Chinchwad MLA died at age 59 after a long battle with cancer. He was getting care at Pune’s Jupiter Hospital. Today, from 3 to 6 pm, Jagtap’s dead body will be kept at his home. At 7 pm, he will be burned.
Cancer took the life of Laxman Jagtap, who was 59 years old.
Sources say that Jagtap, who had been sick with cancer for a while, had beaten it, but that it came back recently. He died in a hospital in the Baner neighborhood of Pune, India.

CM Eknath Shinde sent his condolences by saying that the BJP had lost a loyal supporter and a strong leader with his death. Chandrakant Patil, who is a BJP MLA from Kothrud and the Pune Guardian Minister, said that Jagtap was a real people’s leader who fought for the problems of regular people in his district.
Ajit Pawar, the leader of the opposition, was saddened by the death of Jagtap, a close friend and former colleague. He said that Jagtap had given his whole life to helping others.
Laxman Jagtap Political Career
Laxman Jagtap’s time in politics began in 1986. He was a corporator until 2002. During this time, he was in charge of the Standing Committee as its chair.
In 2004, he left the NCP and ran for Legislative Council as an Independent, which he won. It showed how powerful it was in politics. In the same year, he was a member of the Legislative Council.
In 2009, Laxman was chosen to be an MLA and serve in the Legislative Assembly. He was an MLA for the BJP for two terms starting in 2014, and then he was Pimpri’s city president in 2017. He also had a big effect on the BJP’s victory in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation election.
