Kevin Hart was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 6, 1979. Their mother, Nancy, raised Kevin and his older sibling, Robert. She was a systems analyst for the University of Pennsylvania’s Office of Student Registration and Financial Services.
Hart completed high school at George Washington High School. He briefly attended the Community College of Philadelphia but dropped out in order to relocate to New York City and then the Greater Boston Area. He sold shoes as a profession.

Hart got his start in comedy after performing at an amateur night in a club near Philadelphia. His first performance was at Philadelphia’s The Laff House. He did not achieve success immediately. In fact, Hart was repeatedly booed off the stage.
Initially in his career, he attempted to imitate other comedians, such as Chris Tucker. Eventually, he realised that his act was ineffective and reworked it.
In 2009, Hart embarked on his “I’m a Grown Little Man” comedy tour, which was followed by “Seriously Funny” in 2010, “Laugh at My Pain” in 2011, and “Let Me Explain” in 2013. The latter two were also released in theatres as feature films.
In Texas in April 2015, Hart launched his “What Now?” tour. Universal Pictures announced in July of the same year that “Kevin Hart: What Now?” would be released in theatres on October 14, 2016.

A month after the birth of Kenzo and Hart admitted to having an affair with Eniko while she was pregnant. The birth of their daughter Kaori Mai occurred in September 2020.
