The lockdown caused by the coronavirus has caused trouble for the common people. Along with this, the film industry, which has been earning huge amounts from years to years, has also got into a lot of trouble due to this.
The producers-directors are suffering huge losses every day due to this. For this reason, now many big films are also being released on digital platforms. Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi’ is also being included in this list.
Thalaivi should be released in Theaters
Actually, there have been reports from the last few days that Kangana’s ‘Thalaivi’ may also be released in theaters. However, now Kangana Kangna herself has responded to this.
He told Pinkvilla that it is very important to release big films in theaters. Short films may release on digital platforms. Kangana said, “Which film to release, it depends on the film.”
‘Thalaivi’ cannot be released on an OTT
Kangana said, “For example, ‘Thalaivi’ cannot be released on digital. It is a big-budget film. Similarly, ‘Manikarnika’ was also made for release in theaters only.”
He further added, “Films can release ‘Panga’ and ‘Judicial Hai Kya’ on OTT. These films are made like they should get OTT release. Such films also recover production cost on digital.”
