Jimmy Fallon and Dolly Parton Make Holiday Joke With New Song

Jimmy Fallon is back with another jingle, and this one features a legend of country music! The holiday season is almost here, and you won’t want to miss it!

This past Friday, the host of The Tonight Show presented his most recent single, titled “Almost Too Early for Christmas.” It is an upbeat and joyous collaboration with Dolly Parton, and it is intended to get listeners into the holiday spirit.

The two artists also collaborated on an animated music video for the song’s lyrics, which was also released simultaneously. In the video, animated versions of Fallon, 48, and Parton, 76, bid farewell to the autumn season and Halloween by going carolling, wearing Christmas sweaters, and making a snowman out of leaves from the autumn tree.

In the song’s chorus, the duet sings, “It’s nearly too early for Christmas / Too soon to be singing this song / There are still Halloween decorations / And naysayers will argue that it’s improper.” “Let’s get the house ready for Mariah, shall we? / Tell Rudolph to clean up his act and shine his nose / It’s almost too soon to start thinking about Christmas, but why don’t we wait and see how things turn out?”

The host made the announcement earlier in the week and discussed the motivation behind the song’s creation.

“People have that argument after Thanksgiving, the argument in which they say things like, “Oh, can we listen to holiday music?” Do you mind if I play some Christmas music? Is it too soon to start? Could we please throw on some Mariah Carey right now?’ I respond, ‘Yeah, if it’s good, you should,’ “Fallon remarked.

As he announced the collaboration with the “music legend” Parton, the former cast member of Saturday Night Live smiled and said, “So I thought it would be kind of fun if I put out a song and published it around Halloween.”

This is Fallon’s second foray into the world of holiday music; he previously collaborated with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion on the song “It Was A… (Masked Christmas),” which was published the year before. On the other hand, Parton is not a novice when it comes to the style.

The legendary artist in country music has already released three Christmas albums in the past: Once Upon a Christmas with the late Kenny Rogers, published in 1984; Home for Christmas, released in 1990; and A Holly Dolly Christmas, scheduled for release in 2020.

Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas is a musical about the filming of a television special that will be set at her famed Tennessee theme park, Dollywood. The Jolene singer-songwriter is also getting ready to host yet another holiday special during this year’s holiday season.

“Mountain enchantment performed by Dolly Parton Dolly Parton’s Christmas is the frenetic backstage story and the delightful on-camera results of her desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the one-of-a-kind’mountain magic’ she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas. Christmas is the result of Dolly Parton’s desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique’mountain magic “reads the synopsis of the holiday programme that will air on NBC.

The “contemporary cinema musical” will follow Parton as she creates the special until she becomes engrossed in “a secret trip into her history” and the story shifts focus away from her.

There will be a number of celebrity visitors, including Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jimmie Allen, who have all agreed to take part in the event.
