Jenna Dewan Talks About Her Wedding Plans
On The Jennifer Hudson Show, the 43-year-old Rookie actor said that she and her fiancé, who they got engaged in 2020, are now finalizing their wedding plans after putting them off for a number of reasons.
Dewan told host Jennifer Hudson, 42, “We’ve been engaged for a long time.” Following our engagement, a lot of important events in our lives took place… All of a sudden there was COVID-19, the pandemic, going home, and having the third child. That’s why we kept going today.”
“But now we really want to–we’re setting the date and getting things going,” she said. Even though their wedding was pushed back a long time, the star said she was glad she waited because her new baby could finally come to the party.
“I think the time is right,” she said. I think baby number three might have had to come along so that the family would be whole. That’s how things always turn out. I believe in God’s perfect time.”
Dewan also talked about her first picks for the wedding officiants, who were Oprah Winfrey and RuPaul. They “basically [describe] me in a nutshell,” she said, adding that she would “set a date tomorrow” if they both agreed.
The soon-to-be mom of three also talked about how this pregnancy was different from her first two, which she announced in January. We have two kids, Callum, four years old, and Everly, ten years old. They are her kids with her ex-husband Channing Tatum.
She said, “This time I’m a little more tired because I have to chase two others.” You already know how that ends. You think, “Oh, rest, what’s that?” We have no idea what that is.
“Does the oldest help at all?” Hudson asked Dewan. Everly “is really good” at being a big sister, she said. The actress went on to say that she still loves giving her daughter time to “be a kid.”
“She’s a sweetheart,” she said. She adores her little brother. I like how good she is, but I also wish she were a kid. However, I let her decide how much duty she wants because she’s great.
