Although Naobito Zenin was first shown as a defenseless inebriate, it soon became clear that he was a remarkably skilled jujutsu practitioner with outstanding shills.
Naobito showed off some really strong abilities and strategies during the epic battle with Dagon, so it is understandable that a lot of viewers are curious about what will happen to him in the next installments of the series.
We shall disclose in this post that Naobito Zenin will pass away shortly in Jujutsu Kaisen (as it has already occurred in the manga), and the passage you are going to read will explain exactly what transpired.
How Was Naobito Zenin’s Arm Lost? Did It Cause His Death?
A group led by Kento Nanami, Naobito Zenin, and Maki Zenin set out to find Gojo in Shibuya, but instead they found Dagon. Dagon looked afraid and was crying in his “baby form.” And he was hiding behind a pillar, frightened.
He appeared to be a scared and defenseless cursed spirit, but it didn’t take long to realize that he had eaten hundreds of people, spitting the skeletons of those he had eaten out of his mouth as he changed into a creature that looked like a larva.
Dagon’s anger was increasing by the second, and the sorcerers desired to eliminate him as quickly as possible. After remembering his companions, especially the late Hanami and Jogo, he finally transformed into his true form, which is similar to Cthulhu from Lovecraft.
He then engaged the heroes in combat, but Naobito’s Projection Sorcery was unable to overcome him due to his formidable defenses, which prevented him from being cast out by the two powerful sorcerers.
The fight continued until it seemed as though Naobito would have the opportunity to finish Dagon out, but he was unable to do so, and Dagon took advantage of the situation to unleash his Domain, Horizon of the Captivating Skandha.
Naobito used his Falling Blossom Emotion to initially block Dagon’s Death Swarm when he was in the Domain. However, he eventually lost control of the ability thanks to the sure-hit rule. Several of Dagon’s shikigami struck him as they started to maul the elderly sorcerer.
In combat, Dagon soon had the upper hand, but things were turned around by Megumi’s unexpected appearance.
When Dagon’s sure-hit rule ceased to function, everyone was able to withstand his Shikigami, and Megumi devised a strategy to level the playing field. Though missing his right arm, Naobito Zenin returned to the fight, saying Dagon would still pay and that it wasn’t much of a sacrifice.
As you can see, Naobito Zenin survived losing his arm and quickly rejoined the fight, teaming up with Maki to take on Dagon as Nanami shielded Megumi. Nanami called for Naobito and Maki when Megumi told her of his plan, but as they were about to leave Dagon’s Domain, Toji arrived and took control of the conflict. What then transpired?
Naobito Zenin Passed Away Due to Injuries He Received From Jogo
Of course, Toji being Toji, he charged at Dagon right away. Dagon thought he would win at first because Toji didn’t have any cursed energy, but he soon found out that Toji was really strong and didn’t know how or why.
When Dagon realizes he is in a bad predicament, he tries to run away, but Naobito stops him and assists Toji in the process.
Toji then used Playful Cloud to pierce the afflicted spirit. Although he didn’t initially kill him, the Domain simply collapsed from the several stab wounds. Dagon attempted to heal himself and claimed that the fight was not yet over, but Toji negated him by stabbing him repeatedly till he was exorcised very soon.
What then transpired? That being said, Dagon’s death caused his Domain to be destroyed, freeing the sorcerers. Naobito Zenin, who had sustained serious injuries, questioned if his relative Toji was on their side.
As soon as it became apparent that Toji was just interested in his son Megumi, he took him somewhere else and left Maki, Naobito, and Nanami by alone. However, it didn’t end there.
When Jogo arrived on the scene, he sensed that Dagon had been killed. The three of them, already battered and injured, had to get ready for another battle with an extremely strong cursed spirit.
Jogo promptly attended to Nanami and Maki, but even with his injuries, Naobito, who had been watching him closely from the start, managed to evade his first blow.
However, that was insufficient since Jogo immediately struck Naobito with two of his Disaster Flames, setting the Zenin clan’s leader ablaze. It was also Naobito’s last moment, even though Jogo did not kill him on the way to investigate Sukuna’s fingers.
He was nearly dead when he was successfully taken out of Shibuya. He instructed Furudate to read his will to Ogi, Jinichi, and Naoya Zenin after being returned to his house, and then he passed away.
