The Lamberts find ghostly activity in their new home while investigating what happened to their kid; they must save him because he is cursed.
Now, there was nothing particularly noteworthy that Insidious did. Nevertheless, the film’s atmosphere, James Wan’s direction, and the compelling performances of the lead actors made Insidious something that fans were expecting to happen, and they weren’t mistaken.

The Conjuring was one of the most popular horror films in a very long time and was a commercial and critical success. The tale, the scary parts, and the actors’ performances—particularly those of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga—were lauded by the critics.
The Conjuring franchise acquired popular spin-offs like Annabelle and The Nun and grew more than Insidious. The most popular horror film franchise in history, The Conjuring, doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon.
The Conjuring universe, as you can see, grew significantly and acquired additional fantastic horror films, such as The Nun and Annabelle. Insidious, meantime, remained and depended on its own narrative.
