Who Is Dalai Lama?
Dalai Lama is the title given by the Tibetans to the supreme spiritual leader of the Gelug or “Yellow Hat” school of Tibetan Buddhism, the most recent and dominant of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
Tenzin Gyatso, the fourteenth and current Dalai Lama, is an exile in India. The Dalai Lama is also believed to be the successor of tulkus who are believed to be reincarnations of the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Avalokitevara.
Is Dalai Lama Married?
Currently, Tenzin Gyatso is the Dalai Lama, but he is not married. He was identified as the reincarnation of the previous Dalai Lama at the age of two and calls himself a “simple Buddhist monk.”
To live a monastic life, one must devote one’s time and energy to spiritual pursuits rather than romantic relationships.
There have been rare examples of monks abandoning their vows in favour of marriage and family life. The current Dalai Lama, on the other hand, has spent his whole life in monastic training and service.
The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Dalai Lama in 1989 for his work toward world peace. In addition, he has written or co-written over hundred and ten novels.

The viral video from the occasion in Dharamshala, India, last month shows the Dalai Lama kissing the young child on the lips and then the forehead, much to the amusement of the gathering.
The monk then says, “suck my tongue” while sticking out his tongue.
At the video’s close, the Dalai Lama encourages the young viewer to keep an eye out for “good human beings who create peace and happiness.”

The spiritual leader expressed his sadness over what happened in a lengthy statement posted to his official Twitter account.
His Holiness expresses regret for any distress his writings may have caused the kid, his loved ones, and his numerous friends all over the world.
Even in front of cameras, His Holiness likes to playfully and innocently taunt the individuals he meets. He feels bad about what happened.
