“The conversations were pretty positive,” the official said, adding that the Emirates Cricket Board had given verbal clearance to host the IPL ahead of the BCCI’s SGM. From September 19, the IPL will resume. On October 15, the final will be held. The BCCI had always desired a deadline of 25 days to complete the remaining matches.

Will foreign players be available for the rest of the IPL-14 matches? The BCCI official responded by saying that conversations with the cricket boards of other countries are ongoing, and the Indian board is optimistic about a favorable outcome. He stated that he believes the majority of the international players will be available.

The BCCI had previously stated in a press statement dated May 29 that due to the monsoon season in India in September-October, it had been decided to hold the remaining IPL-14 matches in the UAE. The decision to relaunch the IPL was made at the Special General Meeting (SGM), where the members unanimously agreed.
