Who Are the Favourite to Win the IPL Emerging Player of the Year Award in 2023?
1) Yashasvi Jaiswal
The Southpaw is doing well enough to win the award for Emerging Player of the Season. The way he has been hitting this season has surprised both fans and doubters.
Yashasvi is a good candidate for the coveted award, even though he has played in less than 25 IPL matches so far. In nine games, he has scored 428 runs, which is a good average of 48. He is also a hundred years old.
2) Tilak Varma
Tilak Varma of the Mumbai Indians is another player on the list who bats left-handed. Last year, Varma had a great season. He was the only bright spot in an otherwise rough year for the Mumbai Indians. He has had the same vibe to start the season. In 9 IPL 2023 games, Tilak has made 274 runs.
3) Mayank Markande
Mayank Markande has come back to the IPL in 2023. Mayank used to be a big star for Mumbai Indians. Now, he is back on the biggest stage thanks to Sunrisers Hyderabad. This season, the 25-year-old has taken 11 wickets in 7 games. Even though Hyderabad is having trouble getting in shape, Markande has been bowling very well.

4) Ayush Badoni
Like Tilak Varma, the young player for the Lucknow Super Giants rose to fame during the IPL 2022. This season, Badoni has made 191 runs in 9 games. His best score was 59 runs against CSK.
Badoni has made some quick knocks that have helped the team hit scores of more than 200. Before 2023, the 23-year-old had only played in 13 IPL games, so he has a good chance of getting the award.
5) Joshua Little
The young player from GT is in his first IPL season. He has taken five wickets in seven games, but don’t be fooled by the numbers. The 23-year-old Irishman has helped his team make important progress at key times.
He has bowled very calmly under a lot of pressure. If he keeps doing what he has been doing, he should be in the running for the award.
