Along with the BCCI, all franchise owners, sponsors and other stakeholders have also agreed to postpone IPL 2020 until the event is secured.

The BCCI said that it is constantly monitoring the situation and the situation is also being reviewed as to how long the IPL can be organized. For this, the central government will continue to seek guidelines from state governments and other regulatory bodies of states.

This will be the first time that the IPL, which started in 2008, will not be played in the summer season this year. Till now all the 12 editions of IPL have been played between March to May.
