Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Release Date: Get Excited for the Next Chapter!

Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Release Date

Is Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire getting any closer to being announced? Holy crap! Everyone is excited about what’s to come now that we know Ben Daniels will be joining the cast in the role of Santiago, the vampire actor because anyone who has read Anne Rice’s original story knows what an extended stay at the Theatre des Vampires in Paris means.

If the Graduate-esque final moments of Season 1’s finale are any indication, there’s still a lot more ground to cover from Rice’s book series, and we’ll update this post as we learn more. The following is the current knowledge regarding Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire.

Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Release Date

Nothing has been confirmed, but it’s probably safe to assume that Interview with the Vampire will return in late 2023 or early 2024.

“The cast and crew of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire feel privileged, humbled, and hungry to have our vampires’ passports stamped even more widely. We owe a great debt of gratitude to our courageous network and will make every effort to protect it.”

Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Plot

Rolin Jones, the showrunner for Interview with the Vampire, said the following upon hearing the renewal news:

In “Bulgaria, Romania, Paris, Oh, Paris! The Greater New Orleans Area, Dubai, and San Francisco, The crew of Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire consider itself honoured, humbled, and eager to add more stamps to the vampires’ passports. We owe a great debt of gratitude to our courageous network and will make every effort to protect it.”

You may have noticed that there are still some places we haven’t seen this season. This is because the first printing didn’t even include all of the events from Anne Rice’s debut novel. This means that in the second season, Louis, Claudia, and even Lestat will travel to Bulgaria, Romania, and Paris.

Any further detail at this time would be a spoiler, and the show may decide to deviate more from the source material in the future regardless.

Sam Reid told Collider about season two, saying: “The bad guy, Lestat, gets sent to time out. Not sure if that’s good for him, but he deserves whatever happens to him. A husband who kills his wife to teach her a lesson is a harsh teacher. That’s a very fast-paced class. But there will be more suffering later.”

A lot of other Anne Rice adaptations are in the works at AMC, too, such as Lives of the Mayfair Witches, which will star Alexandra Daddario in The White Lotus.

Three crossover novels were purchased, making it likely that other recognizable characters from Anne’s other works will appear in future seasons of Interview with the Vampire.

Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Cast

In Season 2, Ben Daniels will join the mayhem as a series regular, making him the first new cast member.  In season 3 of The Crown and Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power actor Paul Daniels will play Santiago, a French Theatre des Vampires member who develops mistrust of Louis and Claudia.

Along with Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Bailey Bass, and Eric Bogosian, he is a returning player. Assad Zaman, who played one of the most memorable characters from Rice’s novels, the vampire Armand, will likely have a larger role in Season 2 now that his true identity has been revealed.

Where to Watch Interview With the Vampire Season 2?

We suggest reading all the books and rewatching the ’90s film until the new footage arrives late in 2023. Waiting is the worst, but at least Brad Pitt looks good in it, and Kirsten Dunst‘s portrayal of a young Claudia is unforgettable.

The American version of Interview with the Vampire can be seen on AMC and AMC+. There has been no word on a UK airtime or release date.
