Like its predecessor, Hades 2 will go through early access before it’s released to everyone. It will begin this early access time in 2024.
2023 has been a great year for video game releases. Remakes, remasters, sequels, new IPs, and just about every other type of video game project you can think of have come out almost every other week, competing for your attention.
Unfortunately, 2023 is coming to an end after a year of big game releases. Now is the time to take a break and look forward to what’s next. Fans are already excitedly getting ready for Hades 2.
Hades 2 was announced at the 2022 Game Awards. It will be another innovative roguelike journey set in Greek mythology.
This time, players will control Melinoe, Zagreus’ half-sister, as she tries to stop the Titan Chronos from destroying Mount Olympus. Like the first game, Hades 2 will have a short early access period on PC. Its current release window could open up in just a few months.
When Will Hades 2 Go Live for Early Access?
Hades 2 will be out in Q2 2024
When Hades 2 was first mentioned in December 2022, its developer, Supergiant Games, was very clear about when the game would be out.
They told fans right away that it would be available for early access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store at the same time. Supergiant also said that fans would learn more about Hades 2’s early access time by the end of 2023. In September, that’s exactly what happened.
The developers of Hades 2 told the public on September 14, 2023, that the game would be available for early access sometime in the second quarter of 2024.
For those who don’t know, Q2 is the second “quarter” of a year. Each quarter has three months. This means that early entry to Hades 2 will start sometime between April and June of next year.
That’s all fans know for now, but there may be a few more signs that could help them narrow down that possible release date even more.

Try to Choose a Date for Hades 2’s Early Access Release
Not only did Supergiant Games say in their September development update that Hades 2 would have at least as much content as the first game did when it came out in early access in 2018, but they also said that the game would not be finished but that there would be enough for fans to enjoy right away.
Even though this is just a guess, this could point to a release date in the second half of Q2 2024. This is because Supergiant seems to want to make sure that the game is still full of content when it comes out.
This idea is strengthened by the fact that Hades 2 will have a technical test a few weeks before its early access starts. This means that it won’t be out in April, but more likely at the end of Q2 2024.
The game calendar for 2024 doesn’t look very full right now, especially for the months after February. There aren’t many games coming out between April and June 2024 right now.
Manor Lords and Destiny 2: The Final Shape are the biggest ones. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help narrow down when Hades 2 will be available in early access. The game has a pretty clear release window, but a June release date would let it fit in with all the Summer showcases.
