Frank Grillo Aims for Racing Immortality in ‘lamborghini: the Man Behind the Legend’

Are one’s competitors their greatest source of inspiration to excel? The achievements of automotive icons Ferruccio Lamborghini and Enzo Ferrari are only approached by a select few. The journey of one man’s pursuit of racing immortality is the subject of the recently released documentary titled “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend.” It chronicles the history of Lamborghini from its beginnings as a manufacturer of tractors to the production of a car that was competitive enough to run in the Geneva Grand Prix. The video examines the struggles and victories that he faced in his personal life as he was becoming a significant figure in the history of Italian automobiles.

Lamborghini is a work that was written and directed by Bobby Moresco. The co-writer of “Crash” who was awarded an Academy Award has dabbled in a variety of disciplines, including serving as executive producer and director on selected episodes of the TV adaptation of the film that won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Additionally, he is known for producing as well as writing episodes for the cult classic show “Millennium.”

In the movie, Frank Grillo plays the role of Lamborghini, while Gabriel Byrne, a veteran actor, plays the role of Ferrari. Both of these roles are fascinating. The actress Mira Sorvino, who plays the role of Annita, Lamborghini’s second wife, can currently be seen in “Shining Vale,” a production that was just created by Sharon Horgan.

The following is the official summary for the film:

This exhilarating and fast-paced biopic chronicles the story of the brilliant auto inventor Ferruccio Lamborghini (Frank Grillo, “Kingdom,” “Boss Level”), and it features Mira Sorvino, who won an Academy Award, as well as the writer of the screenplay for Crash. Ferruccio has always had a burning desire to triumph over his lifelong adversary Enzo Ferrari (Gabriel Byrne, “War of the Worlds”), and the next Geneva Grand Prix may provide him with the opportunity to finally go ahead of Ferrari in the standings. But would it be possible for Ferruccio to get his unproven vehicle ready for victory in the little amount of time remaining before the competition? Now we begin the race!

In “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend,” a legend deals with challenges in his personal life as well as in his professional life.
