Facebook launching Video Editing App called Instagram Reels

Instagram is coming soon with a feature like TikTok in India. According to the report, the name of this feature will be ‘Reels’. This new feature was first launched in Brazil in November and now it is reported that the company is testing this feature in India.

As everyone knows, the Indian government had the last month banned 59 Chinese apps across the country, with the most talked-about app being TikTok. After TikTok is banned, everyone is preparing to come up with an alternative, in which now the name of Instagram has also been added.

Some Instagram users say that they have also received these reels feature through the update. However, the rollout is still available for all users.

Citing people involved in the matter, the Business Insider report says that some people have started getting this new feature of Instagram through the Reels update. As per TechCrunch’s report, the feature was first introduced in Brazil. Then it came to France and Germany.

The Reels feature will work just like TikTok on Instagram, users can create and edit their own 15-second video in it. Once the video is created it can be uploaded. Users will also have the option to add effects and music before posting their videos online under this feature.

Instagram confirmed via email to us that it was planning to expand the reels to other countries without giving any accurate information.
