Drew Barrymore and Victoria Beckham’s Daughters Met at the Park — And the Story is So Cute

One of the advantages of being a mother is the opportunity to meet new people through one’s children; this is true even for famous people. During a trip to London, Drew Barrymore got first-hand experience with this phenomenon when her daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8, whom she has with her ex-husband Will Kopelman, accidentally stumbled across Victoria Beckham’s daughter Harper Seven, who is 11 years old. The unexpected encounter led to a lovely friendship, and the tale of how it all came about is so endearing.

In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress stated that “On a personal level, I’d had both of my girls, Olive and Frankie, and I went to London, and that was the last film I made.” “And one day my daughter went to a park, and you know we didn’t know anybody there, and she made a friend, and I was so excited that she made a friend…it turned out to be your daughter Harper,” the mother said. “And one day my daughter went to a park, and you know we didn’t know anybody there, and she made a friend, and I was so excited

Beckham gave the following response: “I have to add that Harper has always liked playing with your girls since they are such gorgeous little girls.”

“And Harper has really liked getting to know your girls,” the fashion designer, who shares Harper, Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 20, and Cruz, 17, with her husband David Beckham, continued. “And Brooklyn has really enjoyed getting to know your boys.”

How incredibly adorable is that? The girls hit it off right away, and it turns out that their mothers are both well-known superstars in their own fields. We absolutely adore seeing that genuine connection that developed between them in spite of, rather than because of, their parents’ prominence.

During the course of the interview, Barrymore also praised Beckham’s children.

“I have never in my life encountered children who are as well behaved, kind, generous, and amusing,” Barrymore added. “What’s good parenting advice because you have raised such nice, generous kids?” she said. “I have never in my life met children who are as well behaved, kind, generous, and humorous.”

Beckham’s response was simply “Thank you.” “It’s the highest praise, because I love what I do professionally, but for me, being a good parent is the most important job there is.” “I love what I do professionally, but for me, being a good mom is the most important job there is.” I often tell Harper, “It doesn’t matter who is the cleverest girl in school…what counts is who is the kindest and loveliest girl in the classroom,” and she always seems to take my advice to heart.

It’s not just Barrymore and Beckham who have become friends because to their children’s shared interests and activities. Maxwell Simpson, age 10, and North Kardashian, age 9, are good friends. Maxwell is the daughter of Jessica Simpson. North is the daughter of Kim Kardashian. The children of Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore are close friends with one another. And rumour has it that Gabrielle Union’s daughter Kaavia, who is three years old, hangs out with Queen Latifah, making them the most awesome pair ever!

On The Drew Barrymore Show this coming Friday, October 28, you’ll be able to catch the continuation of the interview with Drew Barrymore and Victoria Beckham.
