Did Irene Die in Wrong Side of the Tracks?
After two exciting seasons, the third installment of the Spanish thriller series Wrong Side of the Tracks has been released on Netflix. Tirao Abantos and his granddaughter Irene, along with a host of other intriguing characters, have been introduced in Wrong Side of the Tracks.
However, the focus of the narrative has always been Irene. Irene had fought hard over the past two seasons to be with her beloved Nelson, but she now faced too many challenges on her path.
Even Tirso was hesitant to let Irene to be with her punk boyfriend at first, but he ultimately allowed it because he valued his granddaughter’s desires.
What Happens Between Nelson And Irene?
Jimena, Tirso’s daughter, adopted Irene and has always looked after her, but she didn’t realize that Irene occasionally felt uncomfortable in this household. Irene met pals who later joined drug-dealing gangs since she never felt quite at ease around other family members.
Nelson, a punk youth connected to drug trafficking, was one of them. Irene and her partner decided to leave the house because they were fed up with Jimena’s rules and regulations. They made a lot of money dealing narcotics, but they were arrested.
Tirso took over as caregiver for his granddaughter and sternly prohibited Nelson from visiting Irene. Meanwhile, it came to light that Irene was expecting Nelson’s kid, which she desired to keep.
Although Tirso made sure Irene never felt mistreated in his house because she was his favorite, he failed to notice that Irene yearned for a relationship with Nelson, the father of her unborn child.
In an attempt to divert her attention, Irene wanted to follow her dreams of dancing and asked her grandfather to take her to dance classes so she could receive instruction. However, after a few classes, the instructors advised her to prioritize her health because dancing during pregnancy could result in miscarriage.
Irene was upset to have to stop attending lessons because of her child, but in the meantime, Tirso and Jimena found out that Irene had been hiding the fact that she was pregnant for some time.
After talking about it, Tirso and Jimena agreed to take the course of action that would make Irene happy and at peace.
Nelson, who had been estranged from Irene for a long, had gotten close to Nata, a punk who later became a violent gang leader. Nata was upset when Nelson severed his relationship with her after learning of Irene’s pregnancy, but she decided not to exact revenge on him or his family since she felt sorry for Nelson and her unborn child.
Has Irene Had Her Baby?
Nelson is eventually permitted to stay at Tirso’s house in the third season of Wrong Side of the Tracks, where we witness him caring for Irene during her final trimester. Irene discovered that her mother in particular was there to support her and show her the affection and consolation she so richly deserved.
Even though she had the opportunity to spend time with Nelson, the love of her life, who gave her his whole attention, Irene still had to deal with a lot of suffering. In the midst of her difficult pregnancy, Romero, a dishonest police officer, caused chaos by setting Maica’s foundation on fire.
Irene experienced excruciating labor pain, which led to her losing consciousness and collapsing on the ground while Tirso was out investigating the situation. Irene was in such a situation when Nelson and Jimena entered the room, so they transported her to the hospital.
Irene lived, and she gave birth to a son named Viktor. However, due to problems and preterm birth, the newborn was admitted to the intensive care unit. Eventually, Irene received excellent news that her child had lived and recovered from his sickness, just when she was about to give up.
What Happened to Irene? Will She Live?
Irene put her goals and desires before everything else after giving baby, therefore she didn’t make the decision to marry Nelson right away.
Nelson was somewhat offended since he found it hard to believe that Irene would leave the neighborhood to follow her goals, but she was adamant about pursuing her goal of becoming a dancer. She even got in touch with a dancing group, and they told her that she would need to relocate to Paris for training.
After arguing with Irene about her decision to delay marriage, Nelson finally understood that he needed to put Irene’s wants and desires first and chose to stop being so domineering. While Irene and Nelson were reunited, her family experienced yet another tragedy.
Irene got a call from the Parisian dance company on the day Amanda and Jimena were married. She left the hall because she was eager to answer the phone. She was pleasantly surprised to hear that the dancing company would soon create a branch in Madrid, allowing her to pursue her aspirations without having to relocate to Paris.
Being with Nelson and her child would allow Irene to pursue her passion without having to leave the city.
Irene’s joy was short-lived, though, as she was taken prisoner by a mad and enraged Romero who sought retribution on Tirso and Ezekiel. Romero intended to kill Tirso because he had failed to kill Ezekiel before, so he kidnapped Irene and threatened to kill her in order to get him to submit.
Tirso put down his gun because he had no other choice and believed that Irene’s life was in jeopardy. Romero left Irene, let her go, and aimed his rifle directly at Tirso since he didn’t want to harm her because that was his primary grievance.
He pulled the trigger, trying to kill the old man, but Irene intervened to keep her grandfather safe. Irene was gravely wounded by Romero’s bullets and passed out in her grandfather’s arms, claiming to be afraid.
Whether Irene would live or die in her grandfather’s arms was not made clear in the Season 3 finale of Wrong Side of the Tracks. We would therefore most likely need to wait for Netflix to broadcast the fourth episode of the series before we could discover the solution.
