The release dates of some major Marvel Studios films have been pushed back as part of the significant alterations that Disney has made to its movie release plan. Today, it was reported that the studio has halted pre-production on the Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali as they continue their search for a director. The movie was set to star Mahershala Ali.
This is due to the fact that the production company and Basamam Tariq parted ways amicably; nonetheless, Tariq continues to serve in the capacity of executive producer on the project. The new completion date for the project is September 6, 2024; the previous one was November 3, 2023.
The release date of Deadpool 3, which does not yet have a title and was originally scheduled for September 6, 2024, has been pushed back to November 8, 2024. Shawn Levy, who has collaborated with Ryan Reynolds for a significant amount of time, will serve as the movie’s director.
Fans are particularly enthusiastic for the movie because Ryan Reynolds has already confirmed that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will return for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, the highly-anticipated Fantastic Four film will not be released until February 14, 2025. This is a delay of four months in comparison to its initial release date of November 8, 2024, which will now be occupied by the third instalment of Deadpool.
It was announced that Matt Shakman will be directing the movie while it was being held at the D23 convention. Other aspects of the initiative are being kept under wraps for the time being. The domino effect of delaying the projects has also had an influence on the release of the concluding instalment of the Multiverse Saga, which is titled Avengers: Secret Wars.
Its original release date of November 7, 2025 has been pushed back to May 1, 2026, while the release date of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty remains unchanged at May 2, 2025.
Destin The Kang Dynasty is rumoured to be under the direction of Daniel Cretton, who was previously in charge of directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Cretton is a significant figure in the Marvel universe due to the fact that he is in control of the Wonder Man series as well as the sequel to Shang-Chi.
According to what the name suggests, the narrative will focus on Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors, who made his acting debut as He Who Remains in the Loki series, has been cast in the role of the character.
In the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, he will appear as a different iteration of Kang, and the plot will continue in the film Kang Dynasty.
The related crossover event Secret Wars is searching for a talented director to lead what would be the fulfilment of a fan’s wildest dreams if it were to take place. Because of this, there will now be a year between the two projects, rather than the six months that had been anticipated previously.
