Bryan Johnson’s Age Difference Before and After Project Blueprint!
It’s just before 9 a.m. in Venice, California, but Bryan Johnson has been up for many hours. There were tests to run on every aspect of his body, a strict fitness regimen to follow, and a perfectly calibrated breakfast of pills and veggies to consume – all part of a grueling daily routine known as Project Blueprint.
Or, to put it another way, Johnson’s highly regulated, extremely costly quest to reverse the aging of the cells in his body, and therefore achieve what most of us can only dream of being 18 again.
Johnson, a very successful software entrepreneur, sold a payment processing firm to eBay in 2013 for $800 million before establishing Kernel, a biotechnology startup. Johnson established Project Blueprint two years ago with this vast cash behind him.
It began with a battery of tests that examined all 78 organs in Johnson’s body, including blood, saliva, feces, and urine samples. He subsequently had MRI scans, ultrasounds, fitness tests, and DNA methylation testing, totaling “hundreds of measurements across my body at frequent intervals,” according to Johnson.
The data was collected and analyzed organ by organ and compared to what a healthy individual aged 10, 20, 30, and 40 would look like. Then, using extensive analyses of scientific literature, a team of more than 30 doctors and scientists attempted to find out how to return Johnson’s body to a younger age.
Bryan Johnson’s Tight Schedule For Reversing Aging
The billionaire then revealed Project Blueprint, which would launch in 2021 with the goal of reversing the aging of his organs. That year, he claimed to be 36 years old, eight years younger than his chronological age of 44.
Bryan Johnson reportedly delayed the rate of aging by the equivalent of 31 years after two years of following his Blueprint program and is currently aging slower than the typical 10-year-old. His overall muscle and fat are “ideal,” and his liver fat is “perfect.”
But becoming younger isn’t a simple or inexpensive task. Before 5 a.m., Johnson weighs himself on a high-tech scale that measures not only his weight but also his body fat and hydration level. Thankfully, he gauges his body temperature through the ear.
He takes 54 pills along with a drink he calls the ‘green giant’ that contains creatine, cocoa flavanols, and collagen peptides, and he wears a cap that pours red light into his scalp to stimulate hair growth because no man wants to go hairless in old age.

To increase his diaphragmatic strength, he exercises using a 25-step regimen that includes 10 minutes of backward sleds, Nordics, reverse Nordics, and “IsoTib ankle rotations.” Then he consumes breakfast, “which consists of a few pounds of vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, and ginger,” he explains, all of which are selected for their health-promoting properties.
Johnson spends approximately $2 million (£1.6 million) per year on this rigorous regimen, which includes hundreds of measurements per year (routine measurements include BMI, blood glucose, physical fitness, MRIs, and ultrasounds).
Johnson disclosed that he derives “tremendous pleasure” from his mission, despite the fact that most people may perceive it as arduous and tedious.
Johnson told British GQ, “It’s funny because when most people hear about this, their immediate assumption is that I must be miserable.” It is extremely difficult to comprehend that I might derive more delight from doing this than anything else.
