BCCI Announces Punishment For Gautam Gambhir And Virat Kohli After On-Field Altercation
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Code of Conduct was broken during Monday’s match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. Virat Kohli, a veteran player for Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gautam Gambhir, the coach of Lucknow Super Giants, were both fined a lot of money.
After RCB won the low-scoring match, Kohli and Gambhir fought on the field, which led to a big fight in which many other people got involved.
After the game was over, Kohli and Gambhir shook hands and everything seemed fine, but that was just the calm before the storm. Then the first hitter for LSG, Kyle Mayers, walked up to Kohli and seemed to say something.
Then Gambhir came and took Mayers away, but things were getting heated. Later, pictures from the game showed that Gambhir and Kohli were having a lively conversation. The two teams were divided by a few other players and the Lucknow captain, KL Rahul. After that, Rahul and Kohli also talked.
