Andy Jassy appointed as a new CEO of Amazon after Jeff Bezos

Patna, [wpdts-date-time], Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man and Amazon CEO, has stepped down and has been succeeded by Andy Jassy, the head of Amazon Web Services.

Jassy, 53, will now take up Bezos’ responsibilities, and the former Amazon CEO will continue to serve as the company’s executive chairman as previously.

Aside from that, Jeff Bezos is Amazon’s largest shareholder, and he founded the company in 1994.

Jassy has a great deal of responsibility

Jassy faces a significant challenge in succeeding Bezos as CEO of the expanding corporation.

As CEO, he is responsible not only for increasing the e-commerce platform’s profit but also for improving its market position.
Workers at the corporation have recently complained about pressure and low wages, and Amazon has also been accused of unfair business practices in nations such as India.

AWS CEO was appointed in 2016

AWS competes with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure for on-demand cloud computing services.

Jassy was named “Person of the Year” by the Financial Times in 2016 for the performance of Amazon’s AWS segment.
Jassy was promoted from Senior Vice President of AWS to CEO a few months later.

Jassy has just been elevated to Amazon’s highest level.
